Rangers of Enugu attacker, Chisom Egbuchulam, who is set to complete a move to Tunisian club side, Etoile du Sahel before the end of the week.
He said he remains in love with his hometown club despite moving closer to completing a deal with the Tunisian champions.
Early in the week, he passed a routine medical at Sousse, where Etoile are based.
The forward scored 16 goals to help the Enugu-based club win the Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL, in October.
Egbuchulam, who was not around when the state governor feted the team in the government house earlier in the week, said he is already missing his hometown club.
He said, “I am pleased to have done my medical today, it is a sign that I am close to signing.
“I am missing Rangers already, my soul and body are with the team even as I am in Tunisia.”
Rangers and Etoile have reached a transfer fee for the attacker and a deal will be signed before the end of this week.
