The management of Enugu Rangers, have condemned stories in local media, that claimed that the N2million given to the team by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, was causing trouble within their camp.

Ugwuanyi donated the money to the team, to boost their morale ahead of the NPFL clash against their rivals, Enyimba, which ended 1-1 in Aba.

In a press statement made available to DAILY POST, Foster Chime, the Rangers’ Director of Media and Publicity, insisted that all the wranglings have been sorted out.

“It will be foolhardy for an unknown and unnamed source to see what was a friendly action amongst the family crew as negative and management wishes to advise such unknown sources to verify their facts with the club management before going to the press with such misinformation,” he said.

Rangers are currently 10th on the table, after 28 points from 20 matches.
