Rangers Football Club of Enugu, opened their 2013 Premier League on Saturday, with a 1-0 victory over arch-rivals, Enyimba Football Club of Aba.
Dada Bitrus scored the first Rangers’ season goal in the 25th minute.
The second half of the match, which was played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu, witnessed a goal drought, as none of the teams could convert their scoring chances.
Rangers player, Ugonna Uzochukwu, was voted the Most Valuable Player after the match.
