The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Public Education Officer, Corps Commander Imoh Etuk has advised all motorists and other road users to be cautious on the roads as the rainy season has begun.

The warning is part of strategic plans initiated by the corps to ensure sanity on the highways during the season.

FRSC also advised road users on the need for strict compliance with traffic rules and regulations, especially at this period.

Etuk reiterated the commitment of FRSC towards safer road use during this period and warned the Nigerian motoring public on the need to comply with all traffic rules and regulations as they ensure proper maintenance of their vehicles.

“It is important that drivers fix the vehicle wiper blades, head and tail lights, brakes and avoid the use of worn-out tyres to enhance safety as they ply the roads when it is raining,” he advised.
