Adamawa Governor, Senator Muhammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow has assured Igbos that the state is a safe home for them to live and transact businesses.

The governor in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Press and Media Affairs, Martins Dickson on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri celebration, which marks the end of Ramadan, insisted that Adamawa state is peaceful and accommodating to all Nigerians without prejudice.

“Igbos are welcomed as part of the people of Adamawa and as Nigerians. We are all Nigerians and the unity of Nigeria is non negotiable.

“Lives and property of Igbo are safe in the state; they should go about their normal activities like every other Nigerian as their safety is guaranteed under my leadership.”

The governor also seized the opportunity to call on all residents to take advantage of the ongoing registration by the Independent National Electoral Commission and ensure that they obtained their voter’s card.
