President of Paris Saint-Germain Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has boasted that the club will spend up to €100 million to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he leaves.
The Ligue 1 champions were fined and had their Champions League squad reduced, for breaching Financial Fair Play rules over the past two seasons.
However, Al-Khelaifi says they are ready to spend big and invest in the squad when their Swedish striker decides to quit the club.
“I believe PSG will get another big striker in 2016 after Ibrahimovic. Financial Fair Play tends to freeze competition between clubs but that situation plays into our favour,” he told France Football.
“I believe we can afford a €100 million splash of cash to get stronger, even if that meant focusing on one single purchase in the transfer window, or a drastic reduction in some high salaries so we can buy other players.”
