The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, (rtd) has called on the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Solomon Arase, to prosecute those behind the killings in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.
Dambazau’s appeal was contained in a statement signed by his Press Secretary, Osaigbovo Ehisienmen, in Abuja on Monday.
The Minister called on the IG to probe the continuous killings of Nigerians in Agatu and other communities in Benue.
He said, “The perpetrators of this dastardly act are unwittingly testing the will and capabilities of government securities.’’
He pledged the current government’s resolve to ensure the security of lives and property in the country.
