Property worth millions of naira was Wednesday night razed down by fire in Obudu local government area of Cross River State.
The incident occurred at a compound known as Miki-Miki in Obudu.
The fire burnt virtually everything in the building.
DAILY POST gathered that there was no help from the Fire Service, neither was there running water from the State public taps in the area.
While the inferno lasted, residents who came to help could also not get water from a bore-hole, a little distance from the burning compound.
An eyewitness, who gave his name as Godwin said the incident took everybody by surprise.
“We don’t know the cause of the fire; it looks mysterious”, he said.
This is the third time case of fire incident reported in the state within the past three months, and the second in January, 2018.
The others were Watt and Marian Markets in Calabar, the state capital.
