She added, “I got a distress call in my house at about 10:30pm, and I acted swiftly by ensuring other parts of the library were not destroyed. The affected section is the e-library department which housed about 5, 000 modern computers and its accessories.”

Ebo added that the premises of the library was not powered, and wondered how the fire gutted the library, but appealed to the state government to intervene by replacing the affected equipment including other items which were also lost to the inferno.

Some of the valuables lost in the inferno include; many server systems, and racks containing routers, modem network switches, and distributors, scanning machines, 100 work stations, printers, air conditioners, fans, furniture among several other things.
