Promote true knowledge of Islam – Amosun tasks Oloyede

Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has congratulated Professor Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede on his appointment as the Secretary General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

In a press release by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mrs Funmi Wakama, Senator Amosun described Prof. Oloyede as “a consummate Islamic Scholar, Academic and University Administrator, who has over the years promoted religious harmony through his teachings and deeds.”

“His emergence as the Secretary General is therefore well deserved,” the governor said.

Amosun urged the new Secretary General to bring his vast knowledge of Islam to bear on the organisation and ensure that the true knowledge of Islam as a religion of peace permeates the nooks and crannies of Nigeria.

The governor wished the new Secretary General a successful tenure.
