Professor Dora Akunyili’s corpse arrives Nigeria

The corpse of former Information and communication Minister and Former NAFDAC DG, Prof Dora Akunyili, yesterday arrived the country.

Report says the corpse of former Minister has already been deposited at the National Hospital mortuary in Abuja.

According to a source, Dora’s body was conveyed by a chartered aircraft that arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 5:30 pm on Wednesday from an Indian hospital where she took her last breathe a week ago.

The body of the late national icon was accompanied by Mr, Peter Obi, former Anambra State Governor, Mrs. Uche Ekunife, the husband and her children.

DailyPost has gathered that the family will be meeting with officials of the Federal Government before the final burial date and programme will be announced.

It was equally gathered that the Federal Government has shown interest in giving the late Information Minister a befitting burial due to her immense contribution to national development.
