Pro-Biafra agitators are selected by God, they are not frustrated people – IPOB replies Oye

The indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, has dismissed a statement credited to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Oye, saying the agitation for Biafra was born out of frustration.

Recall that Oye had yesterday said the agitation of groups like IPOB and Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, was born out of frustration.

Oye had gone ahead to opine that the perceived marginalisation of the Igbo race was responsible for the agitation by these various groups.

However, IPOB in its reaction said that the struggle for Biafra was not borne out of frustration but a project from God Almighty.

In a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful on Wednesday, the separatist group explained that those championing the struggle for Biafra, “are educated, professionals who are selected by God and are qualified for the job,” adding that anyone describing pro-Biafra agitators as “frustrated people are making the mistake of their lives.”

According to IPOB, “This statement credited to the APGA chairman Chief Victor Oye shows the entire public how the party and the Anambra state governor Chief Willie Obiano collaborated with the federal government killed unarmed civilians during our peaceful remembrance day event in Anambra because he feel’s they are frustrated people.

“The supreme leader of the party late Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu formed the party for the welfare of his people not to kill them in the name of protecting political ambition and since he left the world all those busy body in the party are making every effort to ensure that they kill the party and now it is dead.

“Oye who have not come out openly to condemned the killing of unarmed civilians during the peaceful remembrance events on 30th May 2016 now he come out to condemned the organization that is bigger than him. This man since assumed the position of the chairman of the party he has not achieved any meaningful something for the party.”

The group also maintained that its struggle for Biafra has no “other benefit rather than to liberate Igbo people and no other thing.”
