Honourable Dino Melaye, a former House of Representatives member and social activist, has taken a thinly-veiled swipe at government officials, who take advantage of their position, to do whatever they want to.
Melaye, took to Twitter, barely 24 hours after Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State and former aide to President Jonathan on Security, Andrew Owoeye Azazi, died in a helicopter crash in Bayelsa.
“Private jet equals private death, stop the stealing now!” one of his updates read.
The former Rep, who for some time has been attacking Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, who recently received a jet from his church members, also questioned why Yakowa and Azazi, had to use a Navy chopper.
He wrote: “While we mourn the departure of the late gov and NSA, we ask that our men and women in power learn from their unceremonious exit”, before he asked: “Who authorized the use of Nigerian Navy helicopter for kabukabu operation, carrying non Naval officers for burial is not official.”
Melaye ended his tweets with prayers like “God may I not have the kind of wealth that will necessitate my death” and “May we hear the cry of death in the camp of our enemies, I mean the enemies of Nigeria.”
