Paul Ibe, a senior Media and Publicity aide to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reacted as President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress, APC closed their defence at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
DAILY POST reported on Thursday that Buhari and APC have closed their defence before the Tribunal.
Buhari’s lead lawyer, Wole Olanipekun (SAN) and lead lawyer to the APC, Lateef Fagbemi announced that the 2nd and 3rd respondents were closing their defence in the case.
Buhari was expected to produce more witnesses today but his lawyer told the court that, having reviewed their case and evidence led so far, they were satisfied that they had done enough to earn victory.
Reacting to the development, Ibe felt that the question about Buhari’s WAEC certificate was not answered.
He tweeted, “Buhari beats a retreat, quickly closes his case at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. The APC just like INEC fails to call any witness, closes its own case.
“It is a new month but the age-long question remains #WhereIsBuharisCertificate?”
