President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerian youths that he won’t disappoint them during his second tenure.
Buhari gave the assurance at a victory dinner for the All Progressives Congress, APC, Women and Youth Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, last night.
The APC Women and Youth Campaign Council was under the control of Buhari’s wife, Aisha.
Speaking during the dinner, Buhari acknowledged the role played by women and youths towards his victory at the last presidential election.
Wondering what would have happened if he had lost the election, Buhari thanked God that he was victorious.
He said: “I very much appreciate your coming here tonight …, but I’m congratulating ourselves for succeeding if we had failed, my good God, thank goodness we have succeeded.”
Responding to the group’s demand for more women and youth representation in the next cabinet, Buhari promised that only those with integrity and interest of Nigeria will be considered for appointment to the next cabinet.
He also disclosed that more fertilizers are being made available to Nigerian farmers at a lower rate.
