President Muhammadu Buhari has won the last Saturday’s presidential election conducted in Kogi State.
DAILY POST reports that the Presidential candidate of the APC won eight local governments in Kogi east out of nine.
In Kogi West, the APC Presidential candidates won two out of seven Local Government Areas.
Buhari alsoo won the five Local Government in Kogi Central.
Announcing the results at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collation centre in Lokoja Monday, the State Collation officer, Prof Michael Adiku Vice Chancellor, University of Abuja said the APC polled a total of 285, 894 votes while the People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubabak scored 218, 207 votes.
According to him, the election which was held across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State has a total of 1,640,449 registered voters, 570,773 accredited voters, 553,496 total vote cast, 521,016 valid vote, and 32, 480 rejected votes.
