The presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, Prof Kingsley Moghalu has failed to win his local government area, Nnewi North, in Anambra State.
Moghalu was floored by the PDP candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubabar, who polled 34,260 votes, to tower over him and three other major candidates in the election.
The YPP candidate polled a paltry 956 votes in the local government area to emerge third position, while APC and APGA came second and fourth respectively.
He also failed to present a party agent at the state INEC headquarters, where Prof. Anthony Nwekeze, announced the local government area’s result during the collation of votes.
