Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, has disclosed why the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu won votes in South-West for President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari had on Saturday emerged victorious in Lagos, defeating Atiku with a margin of 132,798.
Atiku had 448,016 votes while Buhari won in Lagos with 580,814 votes
Omokri, while reacting, accused Tinubu of selling votes of South-West to Buhari in order to take over power in 2023.
He, however, told Tinubu that his plan to take over form Buhari will remain a ‘mirage’ as his image has been damaged before Nigerians following the outcome of 2019 general election.
The former presidential spokesman wrote: “Even the rigging shows they look with disdain on certain parts of Nigeria. Will you accept while you‘re made 2nd class citizens in your country? Look at Akwa-Ibom. 1,011,715 votes in 2015 and only 376,687 so far in 2019. You cant try this in Ghana
“And to Asiwaju Tinubu who sold out the South-West because of Buhari’s promise to hand over to him.
“Bola, you have been damaged by this election cycle. Not just before other Nigerians, but among your kin. That promise may just end up being a mirage.”
