Presidential election result: SERAP reacts to Buhari’s re-election, lists two pressing issues

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, (SERAP) has reacted as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of Nigeria’s 2019 presidential election.

Buhari polled a total of 15,191,847 votes, compared to the 11,262,978 votes got by Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

SERAP, congratulating Buhari on his re-election listed two major things the president should prioritize in his next four years.

The organization on its verified Twitter page wrote: “Dear Buhari, Congratulations on your re-election! We urge you to put on top of your To-Do List:

“Reopening of the alleged missing $16bn for electricity projects during the government of former president Obasanjo.

“Publishing all reports of power section corruption.”
