President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has won the presidential election held Weekend in Sokoto state.
From the 21 out of 23 local government results so far declared as at 4pm, President Buhari has garnered 445,275 votes compared to that of his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who garnered 328, 411 votes.
Presiding over the collation, the Sokoto State Collation Officer for Presidential election, Prof. Muhammed Yahuza of the Bayero University Kano, announced the adjournment of two remaining local government results before the result will be taken to INEC office in Abuja for announcement.
