A three- day working visit to Botswana and Malawi has been scheduled for president Jonathan.
Disclosing this to news men in Abuja on Saturday, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati said that some selected governors to include Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo and Sule Lamido of Jigawa will be accompanying the president on the trip.
Alhaji Mohammed Sada; Minister of Culture and Tourism, Chief Edem Duke, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Nurudeen Mohammed, Sen. Sahabi Yau and Mr Jones Oyereri; the Minister of Mines and Steel Development will all join in the trip.
The media chief had affirmed that the visit was aimed at establishing a better economic and political ties with other African countries.
Abati said Jonathan will join President Joyce Banda at Lilongwe, Malawi capital in order to participate in the Nigerian-Malawi business forum, and to also witness the launch of cassava in Malawi.
President jonathan, according to Abati will be meeting with Nigerians in the capital before proceeding to Botswana.
Jonathan will in Botswana attend the Nigeria-Botswana business forum and also interact with some Nigerians before returning to Nigeria on Wednesday.
Jonathan is expected to leave Nigeria on Monday.
