The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu has claimed that the current administration has done excellently well.
According to Shehu, the Buhari administration had scored an ‘A’ in all areas of economic recovery, security and the anti-graft war.
Garba said this on Tuesday when he made an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
He said, “There is absolutely no doubt about it, it’s an A. Talking about the walk on the streets, could it have been conceived three years ago that any security officer would allow the president of Nigeria to expose themselves on a modern street like this without the fear of being bombed?
“We have accomplished so much, the economy has rebounded, it is growing, the war against corruption he just gave a commitment upon return from vacation. He said he will jail them and they had better get ready.
“The judiciary is today on the same page with the president. They have come to terms with the fact that this problem of corruption is a national problem not personal to Buhari and they are working with the government”.
“It was not designed. We had no idea he was going to do this, and I assure you that all the security details would have panicked when he decided to walk.
“That is to show you that it was spontaneous and certainly there was nothing deliberate about it.
“It’s because they know they cannot fault us on our records that they decided to take on inconsequential things and fake news”.
“As a government, we are very confident that we’ve delivered the dividends of democracy to Nigerians and that we will be rewarded in the coming election by your trust and confidence and like I always say, we are going to win by the grace of God with a larger margin than we won in 2015.
“We have managed to rehabilitate 650 kilometres of roads, we’ve been able to build 750 kilometres of roads, all within this administration.
“Once again, we have good news that the Federal Government’s proactive steps have stopped the killing dramatically.
“The war against insecurity, we’re winning,” Mohammed said.
