Premier League: Liverpool, City qualify for Champions League, Arsenal drop to Europa League

Liverpool and Manchester City have joined champions Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, as the four teams that will represent England in next season’s Champions League, via their final league standings.

Goals from Gini Wijnaldum, Phillipe Coutinho and Adam ensured that Jurgen Klopp’s men sealed the fourth place ahead of Arsenal.

The Gunners will play in the Europa League next season, despite beating Everton 3-1 at home.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City finished third, following a 5-0 thumping of Watford at Vicarage Road.

In the other final-day fixtures, Spurs hammered Hull City 7-1, Chelsea beat Sunderland 5-1, West Ham won 2-1 at Burnley and Manchester United defeated Crystal Palace 2-0.
