The meeting of political parties under the All Progressives Congress, APC, witnessed a rowdy session in Enugu on Sunday as some aggrieved members engaged each other in fisticuffs.

The merging political parties in the state, which included the Action congress, ACN, All progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, and Congress for Progressives change,CPC met at the Filbon hotel, located at New Haven axis of Enugu to discuss ways forward.

The meeting was one of the few they have held in recent times as a strategy of harmonizing into the envisaged APC.

However, shortly before the meeting commenced at about 2pm, members from the respective parties exchanged words which resulted into trading of blows.

The situation, which led to the arrival of the police on invitation of one of the camps, forced some of the members to run for their safety.

DailyPost gathered that the battering of words and physical exchange were due to sharp disagreement on how to compose the leadership of the APC in the state.

The source said one of the parties was insisting that it should have upper hand in the state executive of the APC.

It took the intervention of some security agencies to quell the crisis before they continued the meeting, which did not last for a long
