Popular businessman kidnapped in Gboko

A popular businessman identified as Mr. Emeka Okika has been reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Gboko, Benue State.

DAILY POST gathered that Mr. Okika, a native of Anambra and father of three was whisked away by some unknown gunmen on his way home from his office during the weekend.

It was gathered that the kidnappers are demanding for N30m ransom from the family.

This is coming barely one month after a popular pharmacist, Ternenge Labeh was assassinated in the area.

Similarly, few days after Labeh’s death, Tersoo Iwanger, popularly known as Steco, and his girlfriend, identified simply as Aisha, were gruesomely murdered in the area.

Aisha, a Fulani girl, and her Tiv lover were said to have been shot severally and were discovered in a pool of blood.

The latest developments in the town have sent panic down the spines of the residents.
