Policeman jailed for posting Messi’s passport online

A policeman has been sentenced to one month in jail by a Dubai Court for posting Lionel Messi’s passport on the social media.

According to the Gulf News, the officer identified by his initials J.J, was reprimanded for having “abused the telecommunications system.”

He pleaded guilty and was subsequently handed his punishment.

“I then went to the passport control desk and noticed that Messi’s passport had been left there, so I picked it up and shot a video of myself while holding it,” he was quoted as saying.

The incident happened in December at Dubai Airport, where the Barcelona player had arrived to attend the Globe Soccer Awards.
