A policeman attached to Oyo State Police Command has been caught on camera harassing a nursing mother who was said to have told him to stop collecting N50 bribe from motorists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The incident involving the police officer and the woman, who was carrying a baby on her back, occurred in Mokola area of Ibadan.
DAILY POST learnt on Sunday that the feud between the duo started after the woman warned the policeman not to cause an accident because of his request for bribe.
The policeman, whose name was given as Kehinde Agbede from Mokola Division, Ibadan, by an eyewitness, was said to have slapped the woman who was on a commercial motorcycle with her baby.
The eyewitness said, “This is Nigeria where policeman in uniform beat married woman even with her child on her back just because he was caution not to cause accident because of N50.
“Hmmm, how are we sure he is responsible at home, his wife will be punching bag. Why will people like this will be in service? He ought to be in asylum. Government please look into this!
“This happened at Mokola in front of Adamasingba. Nigeria police officer Kehinde Agbede, Mokola Division”.
However, efforts made by DAILY POST to get reaction of the state police command spokesman, Adekunle Ajisebutu proved abortive as at the time of this report.
