The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, on Tuesday met with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The meeting was held behind closed-doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
This is coming few hours after security operatives laid a siege on the residences of the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.
When the IGP was approached by State House correspondents at the end of the meeting, he declined comments.
The meeting may also not be unconnected with the summoning of the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, by the police on Monday over Offa bank robbery.
