The FCT Police Command of the Nigerian Police Force on Friday arested human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju at the unity fountain Abuja for allegedly inciting civic unrest.

DAILY POST reports that the arrest took place during a sit-out protest organised by the members of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN ) to call for the unconditional release of their leader, Ibraheem El-Zakzaky.

It was gathered that Adeyanju was released after hours of detention sequel to the intervention of the leader of OurMumuDonDo Movement, Charles Oputa also known as CharlyBoy, who stormed the command and met with the Commissioner of Police, Sadiq Abubakar Bello to secure his release.

Though, details of the allegations against Adeyanju are still sketchy, it could be recalled that Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG, recently, asked for his arrest and interrogation for alleged sedition.
