Successful applicants who are shortlisted in the ongoing Police recruitment exercise, will write aptitude tests which will be conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
This was disclosed by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of training, Emmanuel Inyang, during an inspection of the ongoing recruitment exercise at the Akwa Ibom Command in Uyo on Friday.
Inyang stated that applicants would undergo several medical examinations, after which some will scale through to the next round of the recruitment exercise, which is the aptitude test.
“The total number of those that have applied for the Police job is about 133,000. They are going through screening all over the country.
“Out of this figure, we are only going to take the best 6,000 candidates,” Inyang said.
