Ahmadu Fintiri
Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Umaru Fintiri was Thursday quizzed by officer of the Nigeria Police Force at the state police command headquarters in Yola, the state capital.
Sources say, the policemen that stormed the state from the Force Headquarters in Abuja, were in the state to interrogate Fintiri over his stewardship while he was the Acting the Governor of the state.
Finitri served as the Acting Governor of the state after the impeachment of former Governor, Murtala Nyako. Sources say he was questioned at the conference hall of the Police Command, after which he was released to go; THISDAY had reported.
A police source said that further investigations will continue, saying the police is acting based on reports at its disposal.
The state police command Spokesman, ASP Michael Haa could not confirm the story when contacted. He said he had not been briefed by the state Commissioner of Police.
