The Nigeria Police in Cross River State has paraded twenty-eight suspected criminals in the state.
Parading the suspects, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Austin Agbonlahor, said the suspects were arrested for various offences.
The breakdown of the suspected criminals were six armed robbery suspects, three thieves/conspirators, eight murderers, one militant, two cultists and one kidnapper.
Others were one impersonator/forgery, three defiled men, three unlawful possessors of firearms while a total of eight firearms and two vehicles were recovered.
“The successes of the Command’s feat in crime prevention and control within the period under review showed that 28 suspects were arrested for various offences.
“Exhibits recovered from them include six locally made pistols, one locally made long gun, one locally made/fabricated/prohibited firearms.
“Two live .9mm ammunition, charms, one white colour 21 inches television, two generators, 100 KVA, 40KVA, J5 car with registration No ABJ 719 XNX and J5 with registration no SKS 306 KA” he stated.
The Commissioner reassured members of the public that the command is sensitive to the activities of some unscrupulous elements within our midst, especially during this electioneering period.
He assured that the command is determined more than ever to burst all criminal hideout across the state, not minding their antics, evil skills and locations.
