Police nabs 3 siblings, one other for kidnapping in Osun

A Police Special Force from Osun State Command on Tuesday engaged in a gun duel with some suspected kidnappers, among them were 3 siblings, DAILY POST reports.

The Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) for Osun command, SP Folashade Odoro said three of the kidnappers sustained injuries during the exchange of gunfire with the police, and have been taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical care, while one was apprehended and another at large.

According to her, the suspects were accosted and engaged the police in gun battle at Erin- Osun, in Irepodun local government area of the state.

Odoro said the suspects kidnapped some minors in Osogbo and Ogbomoso , and collected ransom of Three million, One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira from parents of their victims.

The PPRO explained that one of the suspects, Akin Ibitoye (40), had earlier confessed that he joined the gang after his brother was amputated during a clash in Iife.
