Detectives attached to the Delta state Police Command, Asaba, have arrested three persons in connection with the purported murder of a 52-year-old businessman, identified as Chiedu Abanaga, in Asaba in the early hours of Saturday.

The Commissioner of Police, CP, in the state, Mustafa Muhammad, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects to DAILY POST in Asaba, said, “the businessman was killed, and his body dumped between two shops in Cable Point area of Asaba. We found the body of the victim with bruises, and on intelligence gathering, we arrested three persons who are currently being interrogated by our men at the state CID. Investigation is on going”.

It was gathered that the businessman was killed for allegedly refusing to part with N100,000 to his business partners over unspecified business they jointly executed in Asaba.
