Police nab notorious cult leaders in Lagos, reveal atrocities

Lagos State Police command said it had arrested two notorious cult leaders.

DSP Bala Elkana, Police Public Relations Officer, made this known in a statement on Sunday.

It said operatives at about 11pm of Wednesday, September 25, apprehended one 24 years-old-Osonye Henrise.

The suspect described as an Aiye Confraternity kingpin was nabbed at Idumota Church street in Bariga for “attempting to kill one Bosiga on the same date at Araromi Street in Bariga.

“The suspect is believed to be the second in command to one Adekunle Adesanya alias ‘E Don Tey that was killed on September 24, 2019 at Edo Evans Str Bariga.”

Similarly, on Thursday September 26 at about 5:15am, one Babatunde Fadairo, 22 years old, was arrested by detectives from Bariga Police Station.

The suspect was alleged to have led five others to kill one Ahmed Saul, 32 years old, with a stone at New Garage area.

The statement said the suspect is a known Eiye Confraternity stalwart while the deceased was an Aiye Confraternity leader.

The Police spokesman said investigations were ongoing and that the suspects would soon be charged to court.
