The Delta State Police Commissioner, Alkali Baba Usman, has confirmed the killing of a three-man armed gang that has been terrorizing residents of Warri, Effurun and their environs.
Usman disclosed that the robbers were gunned down at Apala road, Warri, after they engaged the police in a gun duel on Friday.
The police boss stated that the following items were recovered from the hoodlums; two AK.47 rifles Nos 562538090 and 562623141, and AK.49 rifle No. 1968Kh 9372, K2 rifle No. 061487, Forty-Three rounds of AK.47 ammunition and Vento Car with Registration No. AE 681 BKW.
Usman further stated that the police will not relent in its battle against robbers so as to ensure a hitch free yuletide season.
