Men of the Anti-Robbery Unit of the Nigeria Police Force “A” Division, in Warri, on Sunday, gunned down two suspected armed robbers after they allegedly robbed one Fredrick Ozeiro, owner of Infinity Entertainment, along Ighogbadu road.
They reportedly robbed the victim the sum of N300,000 (three hundred thousand naira), DAILY POST learnt.
It was gathered that the three suspected armed robbers on tricycle were gunned down during an exchange of gun fire with the police at Agbassa axis in Warri, after they also dispossessed fun-seekers of their phones.
The police also recovered a tricycle, one locally made cut to size gun and many cartridges from the suspected armed robbers.
Contacted on the matter, the Acting Divisional Police Officer, SP Nicholas Nnamchi declined comments on the matter.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Celestina Kalu did not respond to text messages or pick her calls when our correspondent called her.
The Warri Area Commander of the Nigeria Police, ACP Mohammed Mu’Azu could not also be reached, but a source within the Command confirmed the report.
