Police foils robbery operation, nabs one in Lagos

An armed robbery operation along Iba Road in Lagos State has been foiled by a police patrol team attached to the Ajegunle Division. Report says a member of the gang was arrested in the process.

DAILY POST gathered that the suspected robbers were after a man at C-Best Filling Station, Onikade area, Iba when they were intercepted by the patrol team.

The team was said to have apprehended one of the hoodlums and a locally-made pistol with live cartridges were recovered from him.

Police Authorities said the other gang members, on sighting the police patrol team fled the scene on a commercial motorcycle, marked LSD-100-QF.

According to State Police Command, the victim was rescued from the robbers, adding that efforts were on to arrest the fleeing suspects.
