Police finally rescues Benue family from kidnappers

Two of the occupants of a Sienna car kidnapped along 9th Mile expressway, Enugu State during the weekend have been rescued.

Report reaching DAILY POST said that the two victims, 22-year-old Kate Oibe and Samuel Oibe,13, were rescued by the Enugu State Police Command on Monday afternoon.

The two occupants, who were traveling on a Toyota Sienna belonging to Nezam Transport Company, alongside 6 other persons from Lagos to Otukpo in Benue were kidnapped on Saturday.

DAILY POST reported that the car was intercepted along 9th Mile expressway, near Enugu on Saturday and all passengers were whisked away.

DAILY POST on Monday morning reported that the criminal made a demand of N20 million to the Benue family for their children to be released.

They have now been rescued by the police and current at the Enugu State Command headquarters.
