Police beam searchlight on hotels, brothels in Delta over child prostitution, criminal activities

The Delta state Police Command, in their determination to rid the state of all criminal activities, have commenced investigations into various hotels, brothels across Delta state where suspected criminal activities including child prostitution, are going on.

Mr. Mustafa Muhammad, the state Commissioner of Police, while speaking with DAILY POST at the weekend, said the “efforts of the police are to ensure it uncover criminal activities allegedly perpetrated at various hotels, brothels, especially child prostitution.

“We will leave no stone un-turned to ensure all forms of criminal activities to the state become history,” he stated.

Investigations revealed that child prostitution among others boom at various brothels, especially in Asaba; a situation the police boss said would be checkmated, adding that: “this is not good for the security of this state, night clubs most times are where you can find some of the criminals, and the police will fish them out. I am glad that crimes have reduced considerably in the state, but we are not relenting, we will continue to do our best”.

While warning criminals to relocate as it would no longer be business as usual, the police boss called on the people of Delta to always provide the police with useful information about suspicious persons within their area, assuring that the police will continue protecting their lives and property.

It was also gathered that criminal activities currently thriving in the state are allegedly carried out in hotels, brothels, and club houses, especially during night fall when unsuspecting persons are either going to, or returning from their various places of work.
