The Police in Obiaruku Divisional Headquarters, in collaboration with the Anti-Cult Volunteer Corps, in Delta State have arrested three suspected kidnappers.

DAILY POST gathered that they were nabbed in an attempt to collect ransom from the family of an abducted victim in Kwale Community.

The suspects were identified as Daniel Uba, a.k.a, Koi, Tony and Remi.

It was learnt that the suspected kidnappers allegedly abducted one Tony and took him to their hideouts.

DAILY POST gathered that the said Tony managed to escape from the suspected kidnappers’ den while they went hunting for other victims.

But the suspected, who are said to be notorious for other criminal activities in the area, still insisted that the family of their victim (Tony) must pay the ransom earlier demanded.

The police were alerted and they swiftly swung into action leading to the arrests of the suspects.

The Police have intensified efforts to arrest other members of the kidnap gang.

Contacted, the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka confirmed the report saying,”Yes confirmed. Thank you.”
