The police in Enugu State have arrested three students of the Institute of Management and Technology, IMT, Enugu, over alleged involvement in the murder of a security personnel of the institution.
The deceased, Festus Ugwu, who hailed from Opi town in Nsukka Local Government Area of the state was killed during a departmental election in the school.
In a press release made available to DailyPost, the police said:
“three persons are now being quizzed by the operatives of the state criminal investigations Department of the Enugu state police command over their alleged involvement in theincident that led to the death of one Ugwu Festus, a security personnel with the Institute of Management and Technology”.
The release signed by the command’s spokesman, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu added that “the Suspects who gave their names as Igwe Nelson, Ocheje Obiorah and Chime Kate are now helping the police in their investigations”.
