Nigeria Police, Adamawa State command, say they have arrested three persons from Tashan-Baba village in Jada Local Government Area for exhuming and beheading corpse.
Police public relations officer in the state, Othman Abubakar, said the suspects were arrested with fresh human head of one Blessing Johnson.
The suspects had allegedly dug grave of 7-year-old Blessing a day after she was buried in the village.
Abubakar listed the suspects as Yunusa Audi, Dauda Babale and Muka’ilu Ishaya
He disclosed that they confessed to the crime and that they were contracted to get fresh human head by one John Bakari of Karlahi village in Fufore Local Government.
“They told investigators that their sponsor promised to pay Five Million Naira (N5,000,000.00k) for the head”, he said.
The police spokesman confirmed that three suspects will be charged to court on Monday.
Abubakar added that operatives were on the trail of the principal suspect, John Bakari, who escaped.
