Police arrest three INEC staff allegedly with 4000 PVCs in Delta

The Delta State police command has said that it arrested three persons in Warri metropolis with four thousand Permanent Voters Cards, (PVCS) On Thursday night.

The Police commissioner in the state, Mr Mustafa Muhammad who confirmed this to DAILY POST in Asaba on Friday, said the suspects were discovered to be INEC staff attached to its Warri office and gave their names as John One, Bimbo Joseph and Lucky Otorodeh.

It was gathered that the suspects were arrested at different parts of Warri town in their attempts to sell them to buyers.

The Police boss said, ” The police arrested the suspects on intelligence gathering led by operatives of SAKCCS attached to the state police command,” adding that the suspects upon interrogation, confessed to the crime, and are currently being detained at the state CID for further investigation.

The police commissioner, however, enjoined members of the public with useful information on persons illegally in possession of PVCS to report to the police for immediate action, disclosing that the suspects will be charged to court on completion of investigation.
