Police arrest suspected traffic robber in Lagos

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal has confirmed the arrest of a 38-year-old robber caught allegedly hampering the flow of traffic in Ejigbo area of Lagos and robbing motorists of their valuables during the just-concluded festive period.

The defendant, Faruba Idris, who was paraded at the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, was said to have invaded motorists, dispossessing them of their phones and other valuables.

Luck however ran out on him as he was apprehended by the police upon information from some victims.

The police recovered harmful items like a cut-to-size locally-made gun with two cartridges from him at the robbery scene.

Edgal stated that investigation continues on the matter, adding that Idris would be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
