The Delta State Police Command has apprehended one person over the killing of a vigilante member at Olomoro in Isoko South Local Government Area.
The deceased vigilante member also known as ‘Oyibo’ was allegedly killed by three cultists last month. He was renowned for been against cult activities in the community.
The incident which sparked widespread outrage in the community witnessed some houses belonging to members of the assailants’ families been burnt down by irate mob in a reprisal attack.
Confirming the arrest, the State Police Spokesperson, Celestina Kalu, said the police was on top of the matter.
Kalu stressed that the suspect was rounded up as a result of investigation been carried out by the police.
