Police arrest notorious armed robber, two others in Delta

Delta state Police Command has arrested a notorious armed robber, Afferay Editor, alongside two others, Solomon and Edejero Ureye for alleged robbery in Enhwe Village in Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State.

The Police also recovered two locally fabricated AK 47 rifles, an automated revolver, two single barrel riffles, two locally made pistols, 82 rounds of live 7.62mm ammunition, drilling machines/equipment and devices used for manufacturing locally made guns, a parcel containing substances suspected to be Cannabis Sativa (Indian hemp) and four mobile phones.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police ,CP Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim, disclosed this in a statement signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer,DSP Andrew Aniamaka.

CP Ibrahim confirmed the arrests of the 33-yrs-old prime suspect, Afferay Editor, who was allegedly involved in series of armed robbery, kidnapping and murder in Isoko area and environs.

CP Ibrahim noted that Operatives of Eagle-Net acting based on tip-off combed Uzere/Aviara and Enhwe Communities respectively and arrested the suspects and recovered the exhibits; adding that case is under investigation by SARS.
