The Jigawa State Police Command says it has arrested five suspected hoodlums terrorizing Dutse metropolis.
The command’s spokesman, SP Abdu Jinjiri, who confirmed it to DAILY POST in Dutse, said the suspects were trapped and apprehended after several robbery cases were reported to the police in the area.
He explained that the suspects were allegedly operating inside the plantation linking Dan Masara quarters to Mopol Base in Dutse, where the hoodlums ambush women, robbed them of their belongings and sexually harassed them.
“the suspects were arrested after the state Police command received several complaints on their activities in the area,”Jinjiri noted.
“We make plan with good Samaritans in the area to disguise as women and followed the road in the night and our men are on alert as they entered the hoodlums attacked them and our men succeeded in arresting them.”
The PPRO added that investigation is ongoing after which the suspects would be prosecuted.
