Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has returned to training and is set to play in their Champions League tie at Sevilla on Wednesday.
Pogba missed Saturday evening’s 2-0 FA Cup victory over Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium, but trained at Carrington as normal on Sunday morning.
He will be hoping to return to Jose Mourinho’s starting lineup, after coming under fire for the nature of his recent performances.
Mourinho fielded Michael Carrick, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay in a midfield three at Huddersfield and said before the match that he “didn’t care” about when Pogba would be available again –
When asked after the match if Pogba would be available for Seville, he said: “I don’t know.
“Yesterday he was working normally with us. We prepared for the game, we gave the last touches in the tactical play, we gave the last touches on the set-plays and I told the players the team.
“He was in the team but this morning he was not feeling right to play. Then I have to prepare a new team. So he’s ill and now we have to wait to see what is going on.”
