The General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry Worldwide, Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, has assured the people of Plateau State that God will restore the peace that has eluded the State over the years.

Kumuyi disclosed yesterday while on a courtesy visit to the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, at the Government House Little Rayfield, Jos.

The Cleric assured of God’s willingness to restore his glory and cleanse the land from wanton killings that had hitherto pervaded the State.

He condoled with the state government on the recent brutal killing of the Saf Ron Kukere, and Chairman Bokkos Traditional Council, Lazarus Agai and the spate of the senseless killings that followed afterwards.

The General Superintendent who was primarily in Jos for a power crusade, assured Lalong of God’s control over the crisis situation in the state, stating that the crusade was designed by God to address the ugly trend of the wanton killings and restore the lost peaceful State.

“The crusade is meant to assure people that, even though things are bad, God is still on the throne. God will bring real peace to everyone in this State, we don’t need to be afraid of anything.

Responding, Governor Lalong assured the Cleric of a conducive atmosphere during the power crusade and pledged government’s commitment to work closely with the Church to sustain the relative peace being enjoyed in the State.

“When we came in, it was not easy; plateau was a place that when they say you should come, you wouldn’t want to come, but with prayers, within one year, we saw peace on the Plateau.”
